Recently, it was learned that Zhao Ruochen, a graduate of our college, was selected by the State Scholarship Fund and will practice in the headquarters of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations. This is the first time that our student had successfully applied for a post in an international organization.
In 2018, Zhao Ruochen successfully applied to the International Organization Internship Program of China Scholarship Council, and recently received the employment notice from the headquarters of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, and would go to work in the second half of 2019. Zhao Ruochen, a student majoring in English in our college during his undergraduate period, once served as a member of the campus embassy, a part-time Foreign Affairs Secretary of the college, and went to Taiwan Wenzao Foreign Language University to study and exchange. After finishing her undergraduate study, she was admitted by Brussels Free University of Belgium and majored in management with a solid language foundation.
In addition to her study, she also worked as an intern in the CBG Finance Department of Huawei, Belgium, and participated in the Brussels business challenge of the European Cup and won the prize.
Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) was founded on October 16, 1945, with its headquarters in Rome, Italy. It is the first permanent specialized agency within the United Nations system and an international organization to discuss food and agriculture issues among the Member States. Its purpose is to improve people's nutrition and living standards, improve the production and distribution of agricultural products, and improve the economic situation of rural areas and farmers to promote the development of the world economy and ensure that human beings are free from hunger.
