Cooperation Expected Between SFL and Faculty of Arts of the Chinese University of HK

    Prof. Lee Hun Tak Thomas — Chairman of the Department of Linguistics and Modern Languages, and his three colleagues from Faculty of Arts of the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) paid a visit to SFL on Mar. 14th. Having introduced the disciplines and postgraduate programs of his Department, Prof. Lee expressed his expectation to cooperate with SFL in order to enlarge the postgraduate student pool to include candidates from universities in mainland China. Prof. Wang Weimin — Executive Vice Dean and Prof. Yu Senlin — Assistant to the Dean welcomed the visitors and agreed on the possibility of co-cultivating postgraduates and exchanging visiting scholars. Both parties confirmed the common intention of a long-term strategic cooperation on talents cultivation.
    Prof. Mok Pik ki Peggy and Prof. Fu Baoning from CUHK respectively delivered a lecture to the postgraduates and teachers of SFL, and two more lectures were given to the students and teachers of School of Arts and Communication of SWJTU.
